UPDATED: Foxborough Fire Chief Says No Injuries in Washington St. Fire
The Foxborough Fire Department is reportedly fighting a fire at Washington Street address.
The Foxborough Fire Department is reportedly at a fire at 131 Washington St. with heavy fire showing from reports Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
12:50 p.m.-The fire is out and officials are accessing the damages. No roads are closed. There are trucks off of Route 1 in parking lot and on a side street.
12:59 p.m.-The Foxborough Fire Department was assisted by Wrentham, Sharon, Walpole and Plainville at the trailer fire at Norfolk Place.
1:40 p.m.-Foxborough Deputy Chief Steve Bagley confirms no one home. Trailer is a total loss. Took about half an hour to get fire under control. Minor damage to a shed type building next door otherwise contained.
2:07 p.m. - Foxborough Fire Chief Roger P. Hatfield has confirmed that there were no injuries from the fire. One cat was killed. Currently the cause of the fire is undetermined. The only damage was to the trailer with the fire being confined to only the one trailer.
"We were very forturnant and we got a good jump on it," Hatfield said of the fire.
Hatfield also noted that the fire didn't look suspicious.
