Arnold, UMass-Lowell in NCAA Hockey Tournament

Foxborough's Derek Arnold scored 17 goals to help the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks to the NCAA Division 1 hockey tournament for the first time in 16 years

 

 

(UPDATE)-UMass-Lowel beat to Miami of Ohio, 4-3, in overtime Friday night before losing to Union, 4-2, Saturday.)

 

Foxborough's Derek Arnold and his University of Massachusetts-Lowell men's ice hockey teammates will be taking to the ice tonight in the NCAA Division 1 Regional against Miami of Ohio in the East Regional in Bridgeport, Conn.

It is the first time in the tournament for the Riverhawks in 16 years and the fourth time in the program's history.

A winger, Arnold scored 17 goals and added 15 assists for 32 points.

The winner of tonight's game will play for East Regional title Saturday.
