2. Dunkin’ Donuts Hosts American Red Cross Blood Drive at Patriot Place Activity Center
For the sixth year in a row, Dunkin’ Donuts and the American Red Cross are teaming up for the “Give a Pint, Get a Pound” campaign, which provides a coupon for a free pound of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee to all presenting donors.
On Thursday, the campaign rolls into Foxborough for a blood drive event at the Patriot Place Activity Center to help increase blood supply and raise awareness about the need for blood.
All presenting donors at Thursday’s blood drive will be entered into a drawing to win Patriots playoff tickets for the Jan. 13 AFC Divisional Round game. Five pairs of tickets will be given away.
Special appearances will be made by New England Patriots cheerleaders, Pat Patriot, the Dunkin’ Donuts mascot and the American Red Cross mascot. Radio station Mix 104.1 will be on site to provide music and giveaways.
The drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Patriot Place Activity Center.
The campaign is in celebration of National Blood Donor Month and helps increase awareness about the need for blood. The campaign has achieved great success during the past four years as Dunkin’ Donuts has provided more than 435,000 pounds of coffee to presenting donors, and if one donation may help save three lives, Dunkin’ Donuts has potentially helped more than 1.3 million patients. Donated blood is used to help accident victims, trauma patients, transplant recipients, and those receiving treatment for life-threatening illnesses.
